Positioning Statements and Trends: Workshop Challenge

Most of this week’s challenge consisted of writing down our findings on the Ideals Wall. However it stands to reason that I share it here also. This week we had to look at emerging trends based on our project and in relation to the market we are tapping in and also write a positioning statement that clearly explains our project goal and how we are addressing our strategy in question. You can find mine below.

Positioning Statement

“For science enthusiasts as well as the casual visitor, the Science Museum Archive Discovery app is an image-based search app providing access to content amounting to over 7M artefacts. Through this app, discovering content will be much easier and offers a sense of serendipity to the user. Being one of the leading museums in the world, the Science Museum has artefacts dating from the rise of the Indus Valley civilisation to the latest advancements in technology that power our planet today. Thanks to technology and science, all this will be that the visitor’s (actual or virtual) fingertips, starting with a single snapshot.”

Emerging Trends Mood boards

In addition to the positioning statement, we also had to research emerging trends and create three mood boards that discuss these trends. There were a lot of sources to read and delve through. It is very interesting research. For a business is beneficial as one can tell were the business is headed or where there is a gap in the market, but even for the sake of research , trend research is a good source of knowledge.

Below you can find my mood boards with a description included for each trend.
